DINING, ENTERTAINMENT & SHOPPING
Fountain Hills Plaza is the premier shopping destination in the neighborhood. The mall features a variety of restaurants and stores, all under one roof. Bashas, a store in the mall, is perfect for household shopping. They also have a deli section where you can grab a few bites. The floral section features some last-minute gifts and souvenirs ideal for birthdays and other family or work events. For DIY and garden tools, Paul’s Ace Hardware, a local favorite, has a store in the mall.
Fountain Hills also features a thriving culinary scene. For some delicious meat dishes accompanied by craft beer, pop into Buck and Rider. The service and atmosphere here are great. While here, you can sample their salmon nigiri, oysters, roasted chicken, and lobster. If your palette tilts towards Chinese food, or you’re craving some Sushi, the Oka Sushi in East Avenue has you covered. THINGS TO DO
Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy practicing their swing at the Eagle Mountain Golf Club to practice your swing. The expansive was designed by Scott Miller, and calling it incredible would be an understatement. The course is strategic, with excellent views of untouched desert expanses. The We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is just as exciting but offers a more solid golfing experience. The layout is simple, and the entire course is well-maintained.
Hiking in Fountain Hills makes for a thrilling and unforgettable experience. The Lake Overlook Trail is a top choice for many folks in Fountain Hills. It’s an urban trail with a short hike perfect for the whole family. But if you want something more rigorous and demanding, try the Masha peak hike, where you’ll climb one of the highest peaks overlooking Fountain Hills. The 360-degree view is something you’ll only see in movies or Nat Geo documentaries.
For some cold beer, the Bonehaus Brewery is in a class of its own. Their decor theme is on point, akin to their can art. There are also food trucks here, and the vendors are super friendly. For an easy wine night and live music, head to Grapeables Fine Wine. The Italian wine here is great, and you can order food from the nearby Italian restaurant.
